Our Helping Services
Every creature deserves a storybook ending. Sometimes that chapter starts with letting go.
Pet Retention
Our pet retention program is our first stop, as we always aim to keep pets with their humans! This helps us expand our capacity when we’re full, as we can always provide this service! Here are some things we can do:
Separate hamsters by sex.
Provide supplies including cages, bedding, food, wheels, water bottles, etc.
Send or deliver consumables (food and bedding) on an ongoing basis.
Work to help find homes in the area.
Take a section of hamsters into our care, such as pregnancies or medically needy animals.
If you have any further questions please email us!
Foster-In-Place
Unfortunately, our rescue quickly fills up and we rarely have space to take in animals urgently. However, we are happy to help you find a new home in your area through our "Foster-In-Place" (FIP) program.
Apply below and send your photos to us.
We will publish to our pages for rehoming.
During this time, you act as your own foster by continuing to care for the animal as we search.
We can provide supplies for ongoing care if needed!
We put potential adopters in contact with you directly.
The FIP is also our "waitlist." If you come to the top of the list and your pet has yet to be rehomed, we will take them in as soon as we have space.
Surrender
Our pet relinquishment process is designed to be compassionate and non-judgmental, prioritizing the well-being of both the hamsters and their owners. Individuals are welcome to surrender their small pets for any reason, provided space and availability allow.
While we strive to accommodate all cases, we strongly advise owners to plan for surrendering their animals at our rescue facility in Camarillo for the smoothest transition and care community.
Note: If the form is accepting responses, we have room! If the form is closed, please make another choice.
